Video Production

FTP Media has provided video production services to clients in the arts and non-profit sectors since its inception in 1999. Whether the goal is to create a promotional video, electronic press kit, commercial spot, viral video or webcast, we continually serve three core objectives: firstly, to understand the clients’ communication needs and ensure those needs are met in the process of developing a sound budget, script, production outline and strategy; secondly, to deliver a high quality production on time and on budget; and finally, to provide consultation and support on the development and delivery of user engagement strategies.

The following is a selection of video work produced for various clients.

To help launch Indigo’s new blog, FTP Media was hired to shoot a “play date” with a dozen pre-school and school-age children, all invited to the Indigo corporate headquarters in downtown Toronto to have fun testing toys. A series of four short videos were produced from that half-day shoot, each posted online at blog.indigo.ca, and available for viewing via the in-store kiosks at Indigo Books & Music.

To produce this project, FTP Media assembled a small documentary crew to ‘capture the action’ as it unfolded around us on that day. Team members included cinematographer Kelly Mason shooting ‘A’ camera, and Ian Challis recording sound.

Toronto-based recording artist Spookey Ruben, famous for the success of his 1996 album release “Modes of Transportation,” invited FTP Media Founder and Director Lisa Santonato to apply for a PromoFACT award to produce an Electronic Press Kit for his latest release. The application was submitted and successful. The challenge was on. How to capture the energy of the artist known as Spookey, and update fans on his whereabouts over the years? It took a trip to Los Angeles and San Francisco to find out, but find out we did… with a little help of an old VHS tape featuring Spookey performing live in his early years. This is FTP Media’s EPK for Spookey Ruben, featuring songs from the double-disc album release of 2001, “Bed” and “Breakfast.” © FTP Media Inc. 2003.
