Indigo Kids Love Craft Time

Indigo Kids Love Craft Time

To help launch Indigo’s new blog, FTP Media was hired to shoot a “play date” with a dozen pre-school and school-age children, all brought in to the Indigo corporate headquarters in downtown Toronto to have fun testing out toys from Chapters Indigo. A series of four short videos were produced from this half-day shoot, with each posted online at http://blog.indigo.ca, and available for viewing via the in-store kiosks at Indigo Books & Music.

The Cutting – Video Installation

The Cutting – Video Installation

This video documents a live video installation presented at the Junction Arts Festival, September 11th 2010. Part of the Crow project, this video was installed between the trees next to the gazebo on Dundas Street West, near St. John’s Road and depicts the felling of a birch tree in my backyard. The tree needed to be cut down due to infestation. I documented the process because I was saddened by the loss of the beautiful Paper Birch tree (Betula papyrifera) which I’d grown up with in my backyard. I chose this video in keeping with the “environment” theme of this year’s festival. The installation was produced with the support of the Sustainability Network.
